Tips:
Allow
hair on legs, underarms and bikini area to grow out to 1/4 inch
prior to waxing. Hair shorter than this may not be long enough
to adhere to the wax. The longer the better, especially for the
first time.
Schedule
your appointments for times when you are not menstruating. You
are more likely to have reaction or sensitivity if you wax during
your period.
Every
step is taken to minimize the redness that is sometimes associated
with waxing (especially the facial area). The amount of sensitivity
varies for each person. For big occassions, do your waxing a
day or two in advance of the event.
Be
sure to disclose if you have any medical conditions or are taking
any medications which may cause sensitivity or thinning of the
skin. This may include products such as Accutane, Retin-A, or
Renova.
Do
not sunbathe or use tanning beds 24 hours before or after waxing
to prevent sensitivity.
